Winter Lip Scrub

It’s winter time and what I dislike the most about winter is getting dry lips. Those cheap $2-$5 Chapsticks do not work for me at all. They are just a waste of money. The thing I use for my lips year round and it’s something I have in my house everyday and all year long.

Sugar and Honey, that’s all you need. You mix those two ingredients together and put it on your lips leave it there for about one minute then wash it off with warm water and after your lips will feel smooth and soft. It works amazing.

I hope you all are able to try it and if you do please tell me if it worked for you!

Figure Skating Dress

I just love all the different Figure Skating dresses. There are so many colors and designs and styles to choose from. You pick the dress that goes with your routine. Picking a dress is not as simple as it seems sometimes you will have to get your skating dress custom made for a competition.

When choosing a skating dress make sure it goes with your routine and make sure it’s also different and something you think other skaters would not have. Being different as a skater gives you extra points with yourself, your coach  and even the judges.

If you need help finding a skating dress. Feel free to contact me Facebook Page and I can point you into the right direction.

Figure Skating & Postpartum Depression

Postpartum Depression is nothing to joke about it is a very serious matter for some like myself. After delivering my second child I got very bad PPD. I felt so alone and depressed and just unhappy all time. Everyone kept telling me how normal it was but I didn’t think it would last this long. We’re now in 2017 and I’m still feeling the same way. I needed to find a way to cope with this because nothing worked at all.

My husband told me “Sammar do the things you love and you will feel better.” The only thing I could think of what I love to do is Figure Skating and Shopping. I used to be a competitive figure skater in high school and I loved it. I loved being on the ice and I love how when I was on the ice all my problems went away.
I love my family and my kids they are my world but I think the reason I have PPD is because I do the same routine with my kids and family every day. It’s good to have some “me time” and do the things that I love to do.

I believe as mothers we should all take a break and start doing the things we love. We need time to ourselves and we also deserve to be happy and overcome this disease of PPD.

If you are suffering or know someone who is suffering from PPD ask for help or help them because PPD is no joke.
Much Love,

Figure Skating Makeup

Makeup & Figure Skating when I hear those words together I imagine glitter and lots of glitter.

I have been skating for 4 years and I have competed in 5 National Competitions. Every competition I ever did I made sure my makeup standed out. The reason is because you want to be noticed when your on the ice. Being different and extraordinary is amazing as a Figure Skater. When I go to an ice show I love to see skaters with extraordinary makeup done that’s goes with their figure skating dress. Judges also judge your appearance not just your skills and moves.

Glitter is your best friend so use it well and glamorous. Stand out from the rest. I am going to list for you some amazing makeup products I have used in the past for my competitions.

•Foundation: Kat Von D or Stila

•Bronzer: Urban Decay

•Contour & Highlight: Anastasia Beverly Hills

•Lips: Nyx or Kat Von D or HudaBeauty

•Lashes: HudaBeauty

•Glitter: Many companies have glitter but some companies glitter work well with other and it might be different for another person. Try a few different glitters from different companies and see what is best on your eye.

•Eyebrows: Urban Decay
I really hope that this helped you all. Please let me know if you have any questions at all.

What to wear to Figure Skating Practice?

In the past women figure skaters usually always wore skating dresses or skating skirts and beige colored figure skating tights for practice, but today, it is common to see skaters practicing in figure skating pants or figure skating shorts over their skating tights.

For figure skating practice you want to dress what you are most comfortable to jump, spin and skate in. You don’t not want to wear too many layers but also you want to keep warm if the rink is cold. Also wear a fleece jacket or sweatshirt that’s easy and light to move in to keep you warm.

When you wear clothes you are most comfortable in you will skate and glide 100% better.
